Context

Bonjour!
Monday morning has come again and as we’re all off to work, back at work or starting our week off – I thought it might be a great time to check out the column on Single Minded Women.
Sometimes the day-to-day activities of running our lives and our businesses can seem boring, mundane or like they’re taking up our valuable time when we could be doing much more important things like attending our book signings or appearing on Conan’s show before he goes off the air – but the truth is, if you can give these little daily activities some context, they begin to become purposeful and enjoyable again, because you know why you’re doing them and what them mean to your life in the long run.

you are right – we have to find joy and peace in our every day stuff. Enjoy the life we’re living. and what you do at disney is important and people notice – so focus on that. Time is the luxury we all need or would like to have a little more of – and that is sometimes the hardship of getting to blogs, etc. after spending a week with my parents in Arizona – 77 and 78 years old – i like their pace. they live right now. i think the older we get the more we’re like little kids. living right now. the present is all we’ve got isn’t it? doesn’t do any good to miss the past and wish for those days back and the future is so random we can’t possibly predict it. so be happy today. enjoy and notice a cup of tea you drink, your walk to work, palm trees around you down there, you “bitch” waiting for you when you get home. flowers, frangrance, beauty, dishes, your bed, your intelligence and education, the fact that you’re putting help out there every day whether or not you think anyone is reading it. they are. just keep doing it – focus on those areas of your life that people do tangibly notice. put money aside to come see us in colorado. you would make a lot of folks happy with a visit – any time! Love you so very much!
